TANigeria was founded in 2013 to promote art in all its forms within healthcare facilities in Nigeria and other African countries. It offers a wide range of activities aiming at improving social interaction, easing stress and bringing some color to hospitals wards. Through art, patients are able to express their emotions without words and over 7 years, more than 15,000 people have had the opportunity to take part in these projects which are tailored specifically to the patient’s personal experience. We talked with the founder of this social enterprise, Kunle Adewale, who explained us their programs, objectives and difficulties.

Tender Arts Nigeria: musica, teatro, pittura nelle corsie di ospedali

TAN nasce nel 2013 con l’obiettivo di promuovere l’arte in tutte le sue forme all’interno delle strutture sanitarie in Nigeria e in altri Paesi africani. Offre diverse attività, dalla pittura alla musica, dai murales al teatro, con lo scopo di migliorare le interazioni sociali, ridurre lo stress e portare un po’ di colore all’interno delle strutture ospedaliere. Attraverso l’arte, i pazienti riescono ad esprimersi senza dover ricorrere alla parola. Ad oggi, più di 15.000 persone hanno avuto l’opportunità di partecipare ai vari progetti che vengono proposti e adattati su misura per ogni paziente. Kunle Adewale, fondatore di questa impresa sociale ci ha raccontato delle loro attività e delle difficoltà che devono affrontare.
